We decided to take the boys on a train ride today. Actually, it's the commuter train from Subang Jaya to Klang. The interior is very much like the LRT so the older boys and I were kinda disappointed as we were anticipating a more 'train-like' interior. Ethan, however, was totally thrilled!

The trip takes about 25 mins if I'm not mistaken. We alighted in Klang and headed straight for a Bak Kut Teh shop for an early dinner.

After dinner, we took a leisurely stroll up and down Klang's Little India to show the boys the sights & sounds of one of the 3 major communities that make up 1Malaysia. It was very colourful and I was totally spellbound by the lovely decorated saree materials on display.
Night was falling and it was time to head back to the station for the ride home.

'Ladies Only Coach' stickers
In our haste, we didn't realise that we had entered a 'ladies only' coach. But we noticed that we weren't the only ones who had made the mistake because there were other men in the coach as well.
The boarding time is quite short and in the rush to enter a coach before the doors close, one can't really see the above stickers placed on the outside of the coach. Perhaps the KTM authorities should spray paint the coach a different colour (pink perhaps?....just a thought) to make it more conspicuous.
It was a nice little 'excursion' for the family. I'm thinking we should try a real train next time. Perhaps the overnight sleeper train to Singapore or some nearer town just to experience the bunk beds. I believe the boys will find that an adventure too!
